Send a screening referral to the lab
Summary steps to send a screening to the lab after administering the test:
- Search for and open the patient's record
- Find the Referrals panel and select the entry for today's screening
- If you don't see the Referrals panel, switch to the HOME panel view by selecting My Patient View or Supporting Documents in the top right corner of the Dashboard.
- If a screening referral doesn't exist, select the Referrals panel menu to create a new one.
- Confirm the referral includes all required forms and a photo of the test
- Patient Information form linked and locked.
- Screening form linked and locked.
- Document ID from the Screening form written on the test kit and in the referral description.
- Lab Results form linked and draft.
- Test Photo image attached.
- Set the Receiving Clinic to your designated lab
- Select Send Referral
Now the lab can process the screening referral you sent and confirm the test results.
